    Hmm, I wonder how much it would change how Cloud's personality develops if he has two little brothers to lead/fend off and protect. I mean I have always pictured him as someone that generally did not really stick up for himself but in the defense of others? I could see him becoming a monster or mother hen.

    As much as adding Zack to the mix could be interesting I don't think it is something that should be an immediate inclusion... I mean if you were to of introduced him it would have been better if the Black brother's rescued or were rescued by him in their Touch Me forest expedition.

    Now if you were going to go for a slightly more unusual pairing what about Augusta and Highwind, friendship if not relationship? Also I am a little curious about what would happen if Shera were to consider materia shard based technology instead of the bulkier mako rocket based stuff. If the payout was extreme enough and they could reduce the weight of the rockets.

    Hey odd thought what would happen if you played the shards natures off of each other? Consider how much energy could be produced if you could harvest a reaction as simple as fire vs ice... and could a demi/gravity shard be used to create lift? I can already picture Sirius working to build another flying motorcycle and if the 3 boys grew up learning those sort of skills/magic/technology what they might produce independently even if Sirius wrote the ideas off initially. I can sort of see them with either flying brooms or hover technology like scooters or boards.

    Also if materia really is composed of knowledge of the Ancients I wonder if wizarding knowledge could also be imprinted? I mean even if they could not cast a spell they still have memories of how the magic is supposed to look and feel. Even the most basic lumos, repairo or cleaning charm would have infinite applications in everyday life. And considering the mind arts and memory extraction...

      Yeah, Zack I ended up, (very reluctantly) leaving out for now. I thought it would make the formative years a bit too cluttered.

      Hmmm, that's really interesting! On both counts!

      I'm looking forward to playing with the whole Materia-Shards-meets-wizarding-knowledge thing! I hope I do it justice!
