    I always thought that Lori is a character that clings to a non-existent hope and refuses to accept another opinion. Of course, this can be considered optimism, but in fact it's just self-deception. Bob's game is optimism. He was aware of the situation he was in but still did not despair. And all because he wasn't alone.

    So Lori convinced herself that the apocalypse would definitely not happen, because its deadlines had passed and decided to forget it like a nightmare.
