      When I realized Percy tried to assist in a resurrection twice, failing with Vex but succeeding with the kid in the actual stream, it was just too potent a moment to push him deeper into Orthax's manipulations and make him feel worse about himself (while, ironically, also showing the group he's still instinctively himself and worth fighting to save). He definitely needed a hug a lot throughout this story!
