Ah, well, the inspiration ended up going no where. Interestingly enough, it didn't work because of Ada. So tricky to add in an OC...changes the rules of things. Though your headcanon of intention is interesting. I always just thought it was basically: if you aren't Regina or originally from outside town (except for Owen & his dad, cuz they were in the town when the town appeared so...exceptions) you can't come or go. Period. Emma is special because she's the Savior, which opens up the border for everyone with her arrival. So...exceptions.
Sarah is totally visiting, no worries. She'll be appearing VERY SOON. And by that I mean next chapter. And then she basically has an entire chapter after that dedicated to just her. Isn't she special?
I prefer not to think of Ada's new apartment as Graham's old one, either. I figure it was an empty one Gold was holding onto until he felt like giving it up because...well, because he's Gold. But he likes Ada so he'll let her move into the empty apartment after having arranged for Emma to have to live with Mary Margaret (which I think was less manipulation on his part and more careful betting on people he is able to predict very well). So my headcanon: it's not Graham's apartment, because that is too sad for me to deal with.
As for the Jim, gym, Jim's thing...that is not my fault- it's the writers! They named him Jim, made him a gym teacher, and then they included a place called Jim's Pizza in Storybrooke's list of eateries. I couldn't use Granny's but I had to use something I knew Kathryn wouldn't go to unprompted. So...that left Jim's Pizza. I assume it's no relation. The writers just ran out of creative names and decided to use something generic that wasn't "John."
I wasn't planning it, but Ada and Kathryn are totally becoming friends. It's going to be a bit before there are any Girl's Nights with all of the crew since right now Kathryn and Mary Margaret in the same room is still awkward as hell, but once the curse is broken...they are probably way to busy with the villain of the week to do a Girl's Night.
That's unfortunate.
I'll have to fix that.
But yay! Female friendships are sadly and tragically underrepresented in a lot of popular media, I've found, and it's a shame, because...well, who doesn't love a Girl Power group? Seriously. Just think about it: The Spice Girls, the Powerpuff Girls, the Bangles, Gilmore Girls, Destiny's Child, Charlie's Angels, The Supremes- everyone loves them!
I'm a fan of lingering, I tend to linger due to a love of over analyzing things. Like this show. The trick for me is making sure I don't linger too much, because while I'll still find the parallels between Emma and Killian's stories and the significance behind what Emma wears and the Milah tattoo & the Graham shoelace thing endlessly fascinating after a month, not many people have that same stamina for in-depth analysis.
You loved my hotheaded line! I love that line! You keep picking some of my favorite lines to talk about. I'm doing a happy dance. :D
Rumple is FUN. I'm not even sure if he'll end up redeeming himself in this story with Ada's help, or if he'll end up disappointing her. I don't think I'll be a 100% sure of his redemption until the final chapter. But the dichotomy of him is just...endlessly fun.
