So I'm quite bad at keeping up with things like this, so it was a bit of surprise to me that when a set down to read your most recent chapter (finally) there were actually two in the waiting. To skip ahead and follow on from previous comments, I enjoyed where you're going and I think they've done a pretty good job fleshing out the other protagonists. You said after chapter 10 that the story draws on personal experience, and I have an inkling some of that was in this chapter as well because like that one in this one do a very good job getting at the reality of the character's lived experiences. June reflecting on her own frustrations happened in a way that felt true to life. I also appreciate how decidedly different her relationship with her parents is, and I can see how that dynamic underlines her character as seen so far in the story.
Thank you for saying so! I was a bit anxious about writing from June's perspective since there's a lot about her situation that I don't have experience with. But you're right that there's some things in common as well. There's all sorts of ways to feel like an odd-one-out, and I'm really interested in finding different avenues to approach that.
