   I love the glimpse into Hero's suffering that we got here, because this fic being in John's point of view makes it more difficult to appreciate it unless John himself becomes aware of it. I love that it adds a layer to it all, John feels unworthy of the life he now has, rejects it and yet his rejection is hurting Hero, something he doesn't want at all. It makes for a really interesting dynamic.
