    Ohh! 👀 It did occur to me that one way to create a multi-chaptered story from this premise would be that Anders does not get his memories back so easily, and that the cause of his memory loss would be magical in nature rather than physical injury so Hawke's squad spend the story trying to figure out what caused the memory loss, and find a way to restore his memories. And it could also explore how the squad starts examining their relationship with Anders -- he had been supporting and healing them all these years and they took his aid and companionship for granted, but after losing his memories he sees them as complete strangers and is distant towards them. And it takes everyone time to build up the trust and camaraderie with him again ... so it becomes a character and relationship exploration fic where all the members of the Kirkwall Squad realize how much Anders' support meant to them 😆

    And since we know that Spirits have the ability to erase memories (like Cole in DAI), maybe the cause of Anders' memory loss is that Justice somehow had left Anders' body, but took all of Anders' memories since the time of their merge with him 👀

    But that's just me musing over potential ideas! I know an idea like that would take a lot of time and effort to write, so I totally understand narrowing down the scope of the fic to something more manageable, haha~ What you've already written is already so poignant and focuses on Anders' and Hawke's relationship, which was the point of the Handers Exchange, and you delivered on the premise so well! 🥰
