    Well, glad this was a 2 chapter update coz that cliffhanger was cruel. Some interesting developments coming into fruition though, which is very in the fence right now, but for now at least Lena is somewhat fine. Trapped in alternate reality in her head, but fine.

    Again, enjoy the way you capture the characters. You definitely did them justice with their reaction to Lena’s status. Shows how much they really have changed since finding a new home outside the 86th District, and it’s bittersweet, yet also wholesome in a way.

    Shin especially. Where back then he’d always just carry on with that burden, he’s changed now because of Lena. So her ‘dying’ would literally just bring him back to step 1 to how he was beforehand which would just not be ideal. I’m surprised he didn’t outright execute the Republic soldiers that shot Lena. But either of these two dying, would just be cruel, especially with the way they were talking about their future.

    Whilst I don’t see Asato killing either one, it wouldn’t surprising if she did. It’d be ballsy and controversial, but definitely not out of the realm of possibility. Though I’d like to think they’d get a happy ending considering the literal blender Shin, Lena and everyone else we’re put through throughout the volumes.

      Yeah I intentionally updated these two chapters together because it kinda felt like a two parter to me, and as a reader I always prefer seeing them together. The story needed to come as a whole, I think, but that last cliffhanger just SCREAMED to be the end of a chapter!

      Thanks so much again for always leaving a comment! Personally, I see Shin as a thoughtful personality that for sure, can be reactive, but doesn't often succumb to blind rage without pre-meditating on it first. In this case, his first priority isn't vengeance, but Lena. I think he's the type of person to fall to his rage after he's already thought through how he wants to kill that person. Of course, this is just my own interpretation for the purpose of my fic. It would also be pretty badass to see him as the opposite!!

      Also, I completely agree, he would completely regress to how he used to be as the Reaper if Lena died! Like he's made so much progress but he still has a lot to learn.

      I really hope that they both end up having the happy endings they deserve in the light novels! I'm so stoked for V11 coming out soon!
