-Nat can be dense. Laura would rather could with electric any day than have Nat feel uncomfortable at the farm. Nat just sees herself as a bit of an inconvenience on this, as prior to the fire, Laura cooked with gas. -Yelena was right, I'm sure Laura thinks she is right. Telling Nat she is wrong about something would not go over well It does give a small glimpse into their life when Steve would get her away from those computers and out of her own head. It also shows that Steve was trying -Yelena isn't wrong and is back to her blunt self -;) -Nat hug!!
There is a tenseness between the two of them. Neither can pretend that last five years didn't happen. But they also can't completely acknowledge it. She knows he is in pain, everyone is mad at him, her adding her own feelings wouldn't help. She forgives too easily, but she herself isn't ready to go too deep. As you said, she hasn't with Nat nor Yelena yet. Being told to give Nat space is way nicer than how any of them told Clint to gtfo. Clint has been the worst for five years. But he also knows how to interact with Nat better than anyone. He is letting her run the conversation, pick the topic, the pace, the location. He is giving her agency. Steve never really got heat from anyone but Maria and Clint. Clint does acknowledge his mistakes, Steve barely did. And Nat does push him a bit in ways she doesn't push Steve. Clint was far worse, and I think if Nat were the same Nat she was at the time in Volition, the effects would have been worse than what we saw at the New Years party. Nat has grown a lot and was able to survive this abandonment by Clint. I haven't decided if I am going to reveal that argument or not, though I do know what it was about. But Yelena did hear everything with her enhanced hearing and didn't want to tell Wanda -Yelena still feels the need to step it up right now while Nat recovers. I don't think she particularly likes this role either -Wanda was thinking when she made this decision -That is why I wrote that, good catch!! -It was just a pun, I thought it was cute -Clint didn't hesitate and was quick to wrangle his child, no bad parenting on his part, But your rant is understood -1. Yelena is the hero of this arc in many ways -2. We are getting more of Nat's personality back, I have missed it and her sense of humor -Cooper is so relatable, even if he can be a brat -I know, Cooper is feeling brave. Not many people would say that to Wanda. -It is sweet that Cooper thinks of Nat as a parent of sorts -I think Lila does wonder if one of them would have been enough, I actually almost left Lila unsnapped but still had the abandonment story line, but didn't think that left room for redemption for Clint -Thank you, I thought this was something Nat would have thought of as a way to call Lila in -Wanda hasn't slowed down and Nat hasn't noticed, normally Nat sees this stuff instantly -Wanda is so fed up with everyone keeping things from her mom -Nat has gotten so sick of not having a phone, I think someone else's was about to be commandeered. It was also time she learned about Bruce
