Comment on Brase Isn't Incest (Essay)

  1. i dont gotta thank nobody, also i strongly disagree. the fandom has been around for a long time, and i promise it has plenty attractions besides incest ships. ive met some of my closest friends bc of this show and not a single one of us is into incest ships. also, youre clearly out of reasons on why brase “isnt incest”.

    1. The very first M rated Lab Rats fic on Ffn was brase after they found out they weren’t related. So I’m right and you just don’t want to admit it.

      1. A fandom is not defined by the first smut fanfiction belonging to that fandom. A fandom is defined by popular fanon. Just bc the first M rated fic was incest, doesn’t mean the fandom was built off of the backs of perverts.

        1. Filter the tags on ffn amd see for yourself just how many people ship brase, even inactive creators :)

          1. so the moral threshold for if something is okay is: “if a bunch of people on a basically dead site that was popular in the ‘10s ship it…its the foundation of a fandom and morally okay”. frankly, i do not care how many perverts there are over on ffn. i care that theyre canonically siblings (check the wiki if you dont believe me), and youre shipping siblings. theyre not “sibling-coded” and it can’t be explained away by “its fanFICTION”. you yourself spoke of problematic ships that exist only in fanfiction and yet are still not okay. shipping siblings is perverted, weird, disgusting, and frankly horrifying

            1. There are still brase fics on here too, not just ffn. You just want to erase the history pf the fandom. it’s literally sci fi, genetically engineered doesn’t mean that they’re genetically related.

              1. okay fun fact about science and the world in general: you cannot create something out of nothing. in order to genetically engineer something, you need dna to base it off of. the dna used was douglas’. he is credited as their biological father in all of their wikipedias. science fiction is still SCIENCE fiction. also, calling someone out for literal incest ships is not “erasing the history of the fandom”, its looking back on that “history” (which you’re phrasing as if every lab rats viewer that ever wrote fanfic in the early days of the fandom was as perverted as you which is simply false), it is saying “hey, theyre fucking genetically related and even if they weren’t, adopted incest is STILL incest”.
