This was one of my favorite parts in the movie. I thought it was hilarious and the animation for the fight scene was epic! I couldn't get enough~ especially when Cat Mario made an appearance.
As for cranky kong being DK'S grandpa instead of his dad, how 'bout this: what if CK adopted DK when he was younger because something happened to his son and DK grew up acknowledging Cranky as his father since he raised him.

That Theory on Cranky and DK actually makes more sense if you think about it. In my head cannons I made Cranky DK's uncle, but he raised him like his own and DK views him as his father (especially since he doesn't remember his own dad)
