The dock scene was rewritten multiple times! In one version, Levi was supposed to leap out of the water and kinda maul Reiner, but I didn’t like the way it turned out. I didn’t want Eren to be afraid of him, and Eren had been in a relationship with Reiner for so long, I felt that he would potentially resent Levi for killing him, no matter how fucked up things were. It’s hard to break a relationship with someone you care about, even after all they’ve done to you 😔
The kitchen scene legit had me in a mood for a couple days after writing it. I could just fucking see it in my mind. Reiner wasn’t going to die in the original plotline, but I just had to do it. I hate him, man.
I felt like that was a very Levi thing to say ;)
I wanted everyone to see that Levi wasn’t some simple minded creature or really an ‘animal’. He’s so in love with Eren and I wanted them to have this bond that Levi could feel at first that was pulling him towards the coast for so long. Just a little reason as to why he was there when Eren came down in the first place 😏
I hc that in the future, the longer Levi is around Eren, he’ll get better with words and tell him everyday how much he loves him 💜😌
And yesss!!! Thank you for the reminder to go back and read your fic again, I adore it 😈💜 we truly can think of great things if we put our noggins together 😂
(I know you’ve already read ch4, but Eren def needs them tentacles 😏 - they’re good for the soul)
