   At the moment, Tony's about given up on convincing anyone in authority of the danger. He couldn't even convince the people who saw him go through the portal into space. And Earth doesn't have a Space Army, which puts us at a heck of a disadvantage if the enemy uses the 'high ground'.

      And that's where Stark comes in. Develop anti-space defense. And everything else - conventional troops will react. In A-1, the National Guard also participated in the battle and were definitely more effective than Rogers.
