Thank you for commenting, I'm glad that you like this Scrapper/Grapple dynamic - it's going to be at least two more chapters of it ;) Right now, Scrapper appears to be at a pivotal point in his life: he, seemingly, achieved all that was to achieve and climbed his way to the top. This fact, and meeting people from his past, makes him more prone to reminiscing and reflecting on where he is now, where did he come from and, to a lesser extent, where he is going (he has no idea where he is going, the poor thing...). Grapple is an important piece here, offering an outside (out of the Constructicon team that is) perspective on who Scrapper was and how he has changed but also, heck, I just like writing them together! They have things in common but are also so different - and we're talking about their definitely more chill adult selves. I was planning to make the entire thing shorter but alas, they won't let me...
Scrapper takes complete control of the situation, showing yet another reason why he's the best choice as the crew's leader. I don't think any of the others, with perhaps the exception of Long Haul, would be as good at making their work pay well.
It is a very interesting observation since, in my opinion, Scrapper and Long Haul are also the two Constructicons who function the best (or at all) outside of their team - they know people, they know how to deal with people, how to play the outside world's rules to their advantage, they even have lives outside of their team... At least Long Haul surely does (oh, doesn't he), Scrapper might be too busy at times - but he surely could maintain one if he wanted!
Thank you for reading, I hope that you'll like the continuation of their shenanigans as well!
