Comment on there's something about her gaze

  1. “Would you be so cruel as to refuse her the chance to see what has become of them?”
Even Balerion would have to complain if he knew.

Let’s be honest; there is no safer place in Westeros than with Balerion, so I’m glad he insisted on spending every night with her. ( Plus, on top of having him as a guardian, she can erect wards to keep herself safe throughout the night and have a good night’s sleep ).
That said, she might not realise it - but by telling the others about Balerion’s insistence that she spends each night with them, they’re going to assume she has a particularly strong bond with the biggest and strongest dragon to have ever existed. We know that there aren’t a lot of Targaryens with strong bonds with their dragons, so their perception of them as one of them will automatically pique their interest.

Besides, if they truly were Aerea’s blood relatives and the last remnants of her family…well, how bad could they honestly be?
Honey, you’ve got a big storm coming, LMAO. This family is amongst the most chaotic ever to exist, and not in a good way, so strap in because you’re in for a wild ride

Instead, she seemed to regard Harleigh with newfound respect and interest, one that went beyond the initial gratefulness she had when Harleigh offered to heal the King. “I should be the one thanking you. Come now. Our family has much to talk about, speaker.”
Well, the cat is out of the bag. I understand why Rhaenyra would thank her, though; Harleigh’s looks aren’t Valyrian whatsoever, yet they believe she claimed Balerion, she has the gift of magic ( something they immediately linked to Old Valyria ), and is a speaker. Having yet another Targaryen ( let alone someone with her gifts ) with features similar to her sons would shut some people up.

“I used to think that speakers were just things of legend. Even before the Doom, that ability was so rare that those born with it were considered blessed. The fact that she exists, that Balerion still lives, is nothing short of a miracle.”
Well, isn’t it interesting? I love this piece of lore you created. Thanks to this, Harleigh can easily pass as a Targaryen ( even if distant ) because only family members would have been born with the gift.
I could almost imagine Viserys’ awe, a man obsessed with Old Valyria who would have never expected to see anything like this in his lifetime and aware that it’ll go down in history.
We all know that Daemon deems his heritage very important, so I can’t see him scoffing at something like this either.
Moreover, Parseltongue cannot be taught but can only be passed through the bloodline, making Harleigh an even more sought-after prospect.

And now that everyone knew of her abilities, there was no chance House Targaryen would ever let her go now.
I’ve seen people saying she could marry in other Houses; she wouldn’t. Not only does Harleigh come with the largest dragon known to mankind, but she also has gifts that can only be passed down to her children - do you think House Targaryen would allow a match between her and another House? Ah! As if. Remember, once she becomes a Targaryen, she might be consulted about her match, but the person who decides in the end is the Head of the House ( in this case, the King ).

I love how having Harleigh become a descendant of Princess Aerea would also give the little girl who passed too early on in life the chance of having her dynasty. She wouldn’t just be the ’ princess who disappeared or met an unfortunate end’ , but the one who brought about someone whose bloodline eventually brought about someone blessed with such impressive gifts such as Harleigh, the ‘next rider of Balerion’ .

I like Alicent’s tentative open-mindedness, even if it comes with an agenda. I can’t blame her for wanting to save her children from a war and Viserys from death.

Oh, bless Harleigh, who has no clue she’s being introduced as a member of House Targaryen, LOL.

Harleigh saw Alicent and Rhaenyra fight and dipped. I can’t blame her at all.

LMFAO Alicent and Rhaenyra, in the end, suddenly sobered up when they realised they messed up and probably scared Harleigh off. They were so busy fighting they didn’t even realise if she exited the room or cast a ‘Disillusionment Charm’ .

By the way, I’d wager Otto would have already discovered what a speaker is in Valyrian history by now.

Also, I was thinking it’d be impossible for her to marry someone who’d then go on to have two wives. Maegor the Cruel was the last person with multiple wives, and he went to war with the Faith because of it. Here, we already have an issue with the succession; it’d be impossible to wage war on two fronts, especially of that magnitude.
