    oh my god, i hope you were properly awake for the day! i like the gobstopper analogy, i did try to layer it more densely than just a simple romance. took some inspiration from just the idea of building it like a three-act film, too. like a thriller or something. so the elements got added on top, for tension and fluff and drama. and yep, a lot of death. in my head i placed the total bodycount of the night at 200-300 people, but most of those would be background characters, obviously.

    alix was not mentioned by name in the story, but she would have been part of the bourgeois family. i placed all known students of françoise dupont into mobs - and the tsurugi family took every student who wasn't in marinette's class. marinette's class was divided into the other families somewhat arbitrarily, but i put alix into bourgeois because of the connection between alix and chloé in early plans for the show.

    (the dead astruc is specifically the thomas astruc from the show, who appeared in animaestro and queen banana. i took some inspiration from the real astruc's occasionally standoffish behaviour on social media. but he's otherwise not at all meant to resemble the real thomas astruc, lmao.

      I have no issues with the real Astruc, he's writing on the other hand... different story, I just like the way you used the character to be something more than a tertiary player like in the show.
