    this is FANTASTIC. i wanted to leave a comment right away, even though my brain's cooked from work, so it won't be that coherent. that said:

    i love the increasing cracks in hovis's usual demeanor. from failing to hide a smirk, to the never-before-heard murmur, to the crushing at the end!! and the reminders over and over that they're master and servant, but also that the master is a cat and the servant is an entire human guy. incredibly important element here

    and how you describe how blik's feeling, how he says something and then the weight of it physically washes over him, sinks into him...his cat instincts trying to get him to hide his tummy, and the conflict between those instincts and what *else* he wants making him excited, that terror and thrill at the same time...just really great attention to building up the sexual tension! (i regret that the last part of this sentence rhymes with itself but i can't think of a good way to rephrase it)
