    Ayyy, glad to see this concept being expanded on! I'm a sucker for any UTY alternate ending that doesn't straight up ignore Asgore's genocidal plans.

     

    I can imagine life on the independent Wild East would be extremely rough early on. Declaring independence would likely mean being cut off from the Underground's power grid, not to mention some sort of semi-official embargo, as I doubt many mosters would be willing to trade with the highly controversial human lovers. Mooch might be able to "borrow" some stuff from the rest of the Underground, but a single squirrel can only do so much.

    This could be solved respectively by repairing and re-activating the steamworks and living exclusively off Starlo's corn farm for a few months or so, until they can diversify their food supply a bit.
