    UPDATE AFTER READING THE CHAPTER:

    First of all, thank you so much for this fic. I was really looking forward to it when you told me you were preparing something in our last exchange (months ago!)

    On a personal note, know that this came at the right time, like a breath of fresh air as I received some not so great news a few weeks ago. Never underestimate what reading can do to someone, wether it is lifting their spirit up (my case right now) or breaking their hearts (you know which scenes I'm talking about regarding a certain series...).

    Now, on to comment this first chapter.

    1. love May and I really love all fics where Buck is acting or viewed as May and Harry's big brother. We don't see it enough on the show but the "Mom brought 2 kids in this marriage, you brought one" line from May to Bobby was everything we wanted to hear so it's definitely canon that Buck is a Nash-Grant! 😎

    2. Damn, May is even more cunning than her mom 😂. Well, Athena has the patience of a saint, May is not there yet. I really liked the margaritas subterfuge. Everyone is in on it, safe for Buck and Bobby who even when it is spelled out don't get a clue 😂 Damn, she will need some more help.

    3. I liked how you took every part when they did act like father and son that May could see when there were some big health scares. It's good to have a refresher of some sort that helps put everything down and we can see how long those idiots have acted like father and son whitout really aknowledging it. Same as Buck and Eddie as a family with Christopher but that another point. I just see Buck as a common factor in both clueless cases😂

    3. May be May will tackle the Buddie case as well while she's working on the Buck-Bobby relationship. I think she'll need all the help for that as well, meaning at least Harry and Christopher 😂 May be asking the Great Athena as well.

I'm pretty one of the very first fics I read in this fandom was a May-centric one where her and Buck build this sibling like relationship - maybe that's one of the reasons why I love them so much. And its funny because I don't think May and Buck have shared like any dialogue on screen? But comments like the one about Bobby bringing that second kid into the marriage definitely implies that they have spend time together so for me that just means plenty to explore and many gaps to fill in 👀

      2. Lol have you ever seen that song on YouTube about "no more fucks to give"? That's totally how I imagine May in this story- she's like, "nope don't care about your excuses, any barriers stopping me from doing things my way are GONE". (If you haven't seen the song, I highly recommend it - can feel quite cathartic when IRL shit is going down)

      3. I'm glad you enjoyed the kind of 'refresher' where we go on a detour through past events and how they were perceived because there is a bit more of that coming 😅 the next chapter stays a bit heavy on the introspection and reflection theme before we go really hard on the shenanigans 😁

      4. Heh, well, she might get help... whether that's purposeful or accidental 😇

          Ugh that really sucks for your poor sister, you and your family :( I really hope things manage to work out somehow 💓 There's definitely some scenes coming up that I personally found hilarious to write so hopefully they will help bring some laughter!

          I love Keira Marcos, but I haven't read much of her 9-1-1 stuff yet... maybe once this story is done I'll finally have the time to sit down and have a read of those fics! (Assuming the new season doesn't trigger the muse too hard anyway...)

            If you're into Sentinel AU, I highly recommend Keira's Nature Provides series. Daylight is her last published fic and is Bobby & Buck centric as Bobby being Buck's biological dad.
