    I guess you have canon Marinette’s luck, then. Sorry you get injured so often! I have a friend who was a gymnast and she broke her toe running to the bathroom to wash her hands, which I find kind of funny, but I personally have been lucky injury wise. Hoping you heal up fast.

    With this story, I feel like I can’t not write it, you know? And yeah, it’s more fantasy novel length now. If it was a legit novel it’d have to be edited a lot I’m sure, but since it’s mine and I just have it on here, I can do whatever the heck I want. I don’t think I’m all that known for brevity in my writing.

    Currently working on book two today and struggling hardcore with Felix, but making progress.

      I used to be a gymnast, but with my luck if I continued it now I would probably end up being in a whole body cast for life 😅

      Remember, there are no rules in this, you can do whatever you want! Don’t let anyone tell you how to write your story. Even if people judge you on it (which they probably won’t cause its awesome) Who cares! They’re just some random people on the internet who don’t really know you (I’m acting as if I do lol) Keep doing what makes you happy :) I’ll be here to cheer in your little corner no matter what you do or how the story goes <3

        lol. Yeah, my gymnast friend says gymnasts can be incredibly clumsy. She says her clumsiness improved like the second she stopped being a gymnast, which is ironic.

        I know I can do whatever I want, but I still try to make the characters themselves. I did take liberties switching up how much of a cinnamon roll Adrien was (he’s not as oblivious and gracious as his show self) and Marinette is clearly blunt and disciplined, less stuttering and stalkerish. The thing with Felix is I don’t think the writers knew what they were doing with him. He’s so mean in his original episode. Like if he loves Adrien so much, why is he lashing out at all his friends? And trying to kiss Ladybug for no reason? It’s one thing to have a goal and another to just…do whatever the heck they were doing with him. So that makes it hard for me to personally understand his character when I don’t think they really understood who he was yet. But I got it figured out (I think).

          Yeah in the show I feel as though Felix switches up so much that it’s really hard to tell what to think of him. If he’s supposed to help Adrien then why is he doing all this stuff that literally wouldn’t help at all, like the writers act as though he got a redemption just because he’s trying to get the rings for Adrien, but he didn’t even do that, Marinette did. He did all these awful things (literally stealing Adrien’s identity and tricking his everyone into thinking he was him) and the writers are acting like it’s fine cause he was just trying to “help”. And now he’s a permanent member of the team \_("/)_/. in the end the only (kinda) good thing he did was make that weird play with Kagami so Marinette could understand what was going on.
          I don’t really get him either
          Most of the fics I read with Felix in it usually just re-write him lol
          I like your version of Marinette, because I feel as though she is more like a real person when you write her, less crazy lol. And the characters are going to be a bit different because they’re a bit more grown up now and didn’t have to deal with the stress of the miraculous from the age of 14.
          Your work is awesome and I’m sure lots of the silent readers love it just as much as I do! <3

            I don’t think they knew exactly who they wanted him to be and decided to just make him a villain at first. I’m glad they made him more than that, but it does make it difficult to write someone who has that harsher side (which makes sense given he just got his freedom and had a terrible dad) with good intentions.

I feel like a lot of people read the first chapter or two and decide she’s too mean, but she’s just fed up with Chloe and doesn’t want another bully or anyone who just stands by and lets it happen in her life. And Adrien really was too passive about it because he was so scared of messing up his chance of some freedom. Plus I like a slow burn <3

              Oh yeah I totally get why Marinette was a lil tougher on Adrien in the beginning. It adds to the reason why I love this fic! Because she doesn’t instantly like him just for the fact that he’s Adrien agreste, he actually has to work to earn her trust back. And even though she put him through all those things, he still doesn’t give up on her. She has many reasons to not trust him in the beginning so I totally understand :)
              (And also it gave reasons for nicknames!!!) #i love pigeon it’s so funny

              I made some art for the fic because I love it so much (it’s actually made me want to get into ballet) and I was wondering if I could post it to my tumblr? (it’s the only place I post miraculous stuff if you couldn’t tell lol)

                It’s nice to know someone likes the nickname Pigeon lol. I’m always shocked that Adrien doesn’t want her to change it. I’d definitely veto that call.
