    Heeey! I loved this! These two scenes are some of my favorites (you're gonna see me say that about like every scene you rewrite, lmao, because I love this friggin movie with a passion!) Seeing Doc's internal monologue is so entertaining. This part was great:

    "Doc was like a shark smelling blood. Once he caught a whiff, he’d never leave off the trail. And the proverbial blood in this scenario was Wyatt’s clearly fraying relationship with Mattie. Before, Doc had been… content to leave them alone to ensure Wyatt’s happiness, but clearly Wyatt was no longer happy, and so Doc’s self-appointed oath was null and void. This left him able to heckle Wyatt with great joy." Yes! 🙌

    Also, yay at you watching Wynonna Earp ♥️😁 I love it and hate it with equal measure. It's great for what it is, but I dislike a lot of what they do with Doc's character in later seasons, and how they portray Wyatt overall (they do him so dirty in later seasons. I've only watched scenes of it because I stopped watching in season 3, but I was honestly like 😡🤬👿). And there's basically no Wyatt/Doc content, which is the reason I started watching it in the first place 🤷 But season one was amazing and I love how Tim Rozon portrays Doc. He is silly and ridiculous and SO different from Val's Doc. They're basically different characters. So, rambling done, lol. I'm currently rewriting the show canon divergent from mid season one, resurrecting Wyatt present day. Idek. My backstory for Wyatt/Doc is a weird mixture of some actual historical accuracy, Tombstone, like three Wyatt Earp novels I've read, and my own imagination, all set in the Wynonna Earp universe. It'll be novel length once I get my sh*t together.

      Nooo now I'm scared to keep watching 😭 I'm about halfway through season two. I can already tell their Wyatt is. Not as cool as Tombstone Wyatt, but I still love him. Also, how people refer to Doc and his friendship is WILD. "I went after who Wyatt loved most: his best friend" BFFR. The Wyatt/Doc content is minimal AND the Wynonna/Doc stuff which is just SO SAD.

        Do you think you've watched enough that you'd be comfortable being a beta reader? I'm not sure if that's something you've ever done before or if you even would be interested in, but I would love someone to look over the brain dump that is my story lol. I have the first chapter (which is 10k... it was actually like 20k of Wyatt/Doc backstory, but I massively edited it). I'm so hesitant to post it because I'm also worried about melding different versions or Doc and just characterization overall (writing for a new fandom is hard!). So, if you're willing, that would be awesome 😁
