    god, this fic was so fucking good. i don't even have the words. it feels so rare in this fandom to find fics that actually know how to engage with disability and the sense of self in the body, let alone anything rooted deeply in the actual historical period of time. it felt like such an explanatory and meaningful snippet of time and story. you really know how to hit a target straight on. all of my possible kudos.
