    Some of my fave parts:

    'Of course he just had to love animals. And he called her his girl!' - I just looooove our Zelda's sweet excitement here, she's so cute bless her soul!

    'she filed his reaction away in a special new folder in her brain with his name on it surrounded by little hearts.' - I know I already highlighted this in editing but this shit is so perfect for these two and Zelda and this fic I love it so much.

    'Smooth, Sir Link.' - even when she's trying to be funny and fun and silly this girl is such a fucking goof. Like sure make a joke about him being 'smooth' while you're over here hyperventilating at the shape of his smile you fucking goober I love it.

    'his eyes almost imperceptibly trailing down like he couldn’t help but take her in before he tore himself away.' - omg things are *hotting up* 🥵🥵🥵🥵 hold on to your popcorn kids!!! 💞💞💞

    'HI?! Oh god. Way to have nothing to say, he’s going to think you don’t even want to talk to him!' - more mandatory goober appreciation, I love how this girl will find anything to worry about and then commit so hard. Inspirational.

    '"Yeah, maybe!" she said noncommittally, but the silence that followed felt like it was swallowing the air between them.' - this *perfectly* encapsulates the vibes you wanted here. Like, I'm creeped out I don't like it but I also don't feel 100% justified in not liking it amazing work perfectly phrased 👏

    'He hadn’t tried to hug her, or ask her number, or anything.' - the justifying that every girl has done at least once jesus the bar is in hell and so Alfonso's bizarro behaviour goes unchecked another day 🙃

    Overall things are setting up so super nicely and I'm pure buzzing to see where this goes. More Jordan content in chapter 3? 🥺🥺🥺

      Zelda is kind of a goof huh lol I just see her as normal because this is absolutely how I think

      I cant wait for things to heat up further actually I may have my first ever fade to black scene if things turn out how im thinking...

      I love that you love how the Alfonso scene turned out in the end 😭 that bit about the tension between them existed solely because of ur critique my queen
