Aw poor Pen! She's so used to being told that no one will be genuinely interested in her that she has a hard time believing Colin! She doesn't want to doubt him but she can't help it!
I lobe how Colin is so nervous but gathers the courage to be honest with Pen! And he even talked to her dad! I wonder ehat they talked about?
Again, I love Violet for being such a Polin shipper! And Eloise! She can be so oblivious and can be unintentionally mean, but she loves Pen, and I know she loves Colin too but she does not always show it.
Poor Pen being bullied by her sisters and Portia bringing Pen down but it looks like Pen is a little grateful this time as it tempers her expectations with Colin'a suit?
And how will Colin find out about Pen being LW? Since this is s1, Pen has not yet written about the Birdgertons other than Daphne so I hope he won't feel as betrayed as he was in canon!
This chapter is so good and I'm so excited for the next one as well!
