    This story is so absorbing! I can't stop reading, but at the same time I'm afraid of continuing. This roiling turmoil inside both Danny and Data is ripping my heart apart. Data is my all-time favorite fictional character for reasons that I think you understand very well. Even better than most, considering you writing this story. Data's search for humanity is so much more than a question of species or cultural identity. It's about good, moral ideals that we wish to see in ourselves. And that is why many identify with his character. Because of this, it hurts me to see Data so unsure of himself.
    I battled with social anxiety a lot when I was younger. I was triumphant in the end, but not everyone is. So Danny's character kinda got to me. I know social anxiety is not comparable to Asperger's but the fact remains that the social structures of human society are complicated, strange, ever changing and horribly scary. You can physically feel the pressure Danny is under when having to interact with people. Unfortunately, it's a pressure he imposes on himself.
    There's so much I want to tell you. How great this story is, how compelling your writing his, how well you capture the personalities of the characters. And all the feelings that arise when I read your story. But I'm prone to blabbering and things just come out in any order and sometimes they don't really make sense.
    Just... know that I smash the crap out of the kudos button.

      Hi! I’m sorry I took so long to write a response but it’s because your comments really touched me. I struggle with anxiety every day, and it’s really wonderful you were able to overcome your social anxiety. :D What you said is true…Danny [and I] does impose a lot of that pressure on himself. I’m really happy you’ve been enjoying my story and my character and I can assure you that what you said makes a great deal of sense. Thank you! :D
