Comment on Di Bawah Langit yang Sama (Under the Same Sky)

  1. Praying that nothing goes wrong during the ceremony although based on transmigration novels I’ve read before, the chance of thing going wrong is quite high, so I hope it’s not too bad…😂🙏

The current Taufan has my sympathy, being a normal guy in this setting is hard as hell lmao. And you aren’t the one reading the story or got provided with set of skills to help with too.

It’s also bittersweet to think about how he is surrounded by people who closely know the old Taufan as well. There’re people who love and care for him, but it’s more because of his current body he’s in, not the current soul, even if they’re similar. And I think the same could be said to current Taufan as well that despite the bonds he’s forming, he wants to/still has a place to go back🥲

And based on the dream snippet from ch4, it seems like a case of someone make a wish or deal(?) to save others, which result bringing another soul from another world that has some sort of relativity to each other and regress back to time before everything happens🤔

At first I thought of Hali because I believe that would go such lengths to save his brother(s?), but the addressing and overall situation wouldn’t make sense. So I’m guessing it’s the old Taufan and his dream that could potentially be what caused the current situation.

Though I stand by the theory that what killed Hali is him sacrificing himself for his brother and it’s him dying in that dream scene T T

Kinda not related but this reminds me of one of the novels I read years ago with MC who doesn’t read the story but got second-handed info from his younger sister talking. I just want to share a funny thought when I’m reading this story and thinking “Don’t worry Taufan! If there’re someone out there facing similar fate as you and survives (I hope since I haven’t gone far in the novel😂), then you’ll be fine too, probably—“

Anyway, I have a lot of thought but I will save it for when I have more information and this comment is already long😂 I’m definitely looking forward to see how things unfolds!

    Thank you for writing🙇💕

    1. Wow! I was really surprised when I saw your comment! I thought you had sent me an essay! But I was also very happy reading it, so thank you so much!

You’re right, our Taufan is now facing a lot of difficulties because he has to try and survive in a world completely different from his own, especially in a novel he hasn’t even read.

As for your questions, I can assure you that everything will be answered in the future. So please don’t worry.

And if you were thinking about 'When the Third Wheel Strikes Back' while reading this story, I can say you’re not wrong because I was inspired by the concept of that story. Most transmigration stories have the MC already knowing the storyline of the life they are living and trying to change it—which sometimes makes things worse. I got tired of reading stories where the MC knows everything and relies heavily on the novel’s contents, even when they solve problems that weren’t in the novel. In reality, they’re still guided by the novel’s information. That’s why I found 'When the Third Wheel Strikes Back' interesting and why I wrote a story like this. I just wanted to create a transmigration story that doesn’t follow the novel too strictly, along with a protagonist who tries to use logic in every situation.

Once again, thank you for reading my story!

      1. I’m glad you’re enjoying my ramblings hehe🙈

I do like to think and theorize along the story for fun, but to write it out as a long comment make me a little nervous and my brain just wouldn’t cooperate oftentimes, so I usually left shorter one. There’re definitely gonna be a mix depending on my brain and how much I read in one sitting, but I do want to express my thoughts and gratitudes to the story that I’m invested in🙇

I see! Twsb and Yeseo/Jesse are really quite a change of pace for Transmigration stories I’ve read so far. Him having normal life with siblings also give different vibes from MC who is an only child, tired, or having to fight for their life in some ways. And him trying to recalling his little sister ramblings and ends up misunderstanding Cedric at first from her complaints are endearing and a little bit funny ngl😂

I remembered hoping for the best when it’s established that he’s a normal guy and have to face the hardships and craziness of an over 300+ chapters Korean fantasy novel protagonist😔🙏 (Man, I need to continue it sometimes around since I barely scratch the depths of the story lmao.)

Hmm. Having knowledge from reading the story is definitely an advantage, but they really shouldn’t expect everything to stay the same as the original novel as they already cause butterfly effect. Reading the story and living in one are very different and life is usually like to throw unexpected thing at you😂 At best, the character can improvise based on the info I guess🤔

And, it’s honestly more fun to read and explore different approaches on the trope and characters that aren’t too bind to “original novel” and create their own story. (If that makes sense…)

        1. I’m always so happy when someone comments on my story. Sometimes I even wonder if my story is so bad that no one wants to comment on it, or if the readers just don’t like the story I uploaded and that’s why they choose not to comment. It’s so easy to have negative thoughts :'(, so I was really happy when you commented on this chapter.

Jesse is truly something! I love how he initially had a regular, pretty decent life without any tragic backstory. I mean, why does every transmigration novel’s MC have to be someone so tormented? Why always make them want to stay inside the novel without trying to return to their real life and live it?

That’s what made me think that Taufan should have a life that’s just fine so he would want to return to his own world. He has a family waiting for him, he has his own world, and Ignisia is not the place where his home is. He is not Taufan von Ignisia, the second prince of Ignisia. He is Taufan, an art student struggling to graduate.

Sometimes we might think that we also want an isekai like the characters in the novel, and honestly, I think about that often. But then I remember that I have my family, I have my friends, and this is the world where I belong. I wouldn’t be able to survive if I entered another world.

Seeing how Jesse struggles to survive in the novel sometimes cracks me up. He’s really funny in his own way, but I also admire him. I haven’t continued reading his story yet, but I might when I have more free time.

You’re right, having knowledge about the novel you enter is an advantage, but most MCs rely too much on the novel’s content without realizing that their very presence has already changed the story’s course.
