Comment on Growing Foxglove In the Garden, Dear

  1. i think i kind of love this story. It's hilarious and there's never a dull moment. You have a way with making the most mundane moments between Pansy and Hermione (such as the breakfast) turn upside down Rollercoaster ride.

Also, Padma should lose her job! I can't believe she bought a fake police officer with her to ask all those questions (that imo were completely unethical questions). She also needs to be removed from the case because of conflict of interest. Just the fact she attempted to have drinks with Pansy prior makes her handling of the case compromised.

Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter!

    1. Happy to hear you're enjoying it so far!

Padma is definetly in hot water for what she just did with Rita just now, but her leading the case *was* considered a gray area with conflict of interest, because Padma and Pansy have had no interaction besides the one drink since Hogwarts, and Padma could have still denied it being anything serious herself in front of superiors.

The wizarding world is small (even mentioned by Hermione when talking about the nepotism problem at the ministry a few chapters back) which adds to certain gray areas, but Pansy and Hermione can still try and push for Padma to be dismissed with her legal team for it. Pansy, as the Slytherin she is, is mentioning this potential conflict of interest only because it benefits her and will use any means to hold even a small bit of power over other people's heads when she has it, including revealing this to Hermione at the table now. This can be considered one of her 'resources' for Hermione to use as ammo, but some of Pansy's resources can be limited in use and could have their own backlash if not used properly. If Padma was actually dismissed by Pansy or Hermione earlier without having another leverage over the Corruption Office, it might be harder to deal with another more competent officer who might step in. There are new things that could come from this now as Padma might keep busy trying to remediate this with superiors or continue pushing as far as she can, not to mention Rita's own trouble, but can Pansy really be the sole reason for Padma's current behavior against Hermione?

Not just with Padma and Rita, but there is a lot to unfold on what might be going on behind the scenes and who is involved in all of this. This chapter is supposed to kind of show how Pansy (the fox) tries to help Hermione (the wolf) in her own ways.

Thank you for reading this far and I'll post another chapter soon! 😊
