Oh never mind guess it wouldn’t haven been that long of a wait. I really love reading the effects of war had on Hermione’s personality. How her anger, trauma, and unchecked power would push her to the extreme side of herself that she often gave into. Not many people write her with this side so I’m happy to find this here. I do like seeing the parallels between Hermione’s relationship with Pansy vs Millicent. And there tender moments are so so good. Can’t wait for more!!
Sorry that it couldn't be that long of a wait ;o; It's mostly because Hermione would be aware of the importance of Millie in Pansy's life from the start, but she still doesn't fully understand how that entire interaction between the two of them in the Great Hall had affected and impacted Pansy's grief and her personal relationships. Millicent once again, even in death, will still be a hurdle that Hermione will have to get through in order to actually reach Pansy Parkinson. And, even for Pansy, she'll have to overcome her own grief. Even though the war is over, I feel that it should continue to linger in every thought and choice they make, because they haven't yet healed from what they experienced.
Because of Hermione's canon traits, she's considered a 'perfect' character that is flawed, and I love to explore the flawed side more while writing, because I honestly just really like writing about angst, flaws, and inner turmoil, but eventually having characters be able to either heal or eventually accept that part of themselves. So, for both Pansy and Hermione in this story they will need to both heal in their own ways and together. Thank you for reading and I'm happy to hear you're enjoying it!
lol no need to apologize, with the context it makes perfect sense she would know I just found my previous statement very silly now.
No I totally get you. Honestly one of my biggest grievances with the original source material is the lack of dimensions in characters. Which you could argue was because it was from Harry’s perspective and not really the focus on the story but still I like getting to explore these more nuanced sides of these characters in fics. Hermione especially, as she is my favorite character from the series and I really think you captured her very well so far. I’m surprised this isn’t more popular but it is fairly new for an older pairing.
Yeah, I always saw it as Harry's perspective in the books, which is totally fine, because I love Harry's character, but Hermione is a favorite of mine too, especially with all my HP ships involving her lol There aren't many chapters yet, which I guess could be why, but even if not, its okay. I just want to share with other pansmione fans that might like it and practice my writing!
