fascinating. backstory is fascinating -- if i had to guess, if we were playing entirely in the world of worm canon, alexis and matt are s9k clones who have false memories implanted of being normal kids on bet. the lack of any real mention of parents, despite alexis and matt somehow becomingother people's kids in this universe... it's interesting for sure.
and there's ofc the big question about matt -- does he have the trump power. alexis's chapter sort of implied he did, but this chapter he straight up had a bad time, which maybe wouldn't have happened had his power been manipulating the odds to protect him? or smth. idk exactly how jack slash's power works lol
ironically despite this fic insisting how much mha sucks i do have to engage with it further at least to understand who the canon chars are shfsfjsfhs.
