Comment on Victim of Happenstance

  1. The way I have it right now the differences in Latex, Warfame and Murder Drone is like different gameplay styles.

Latex are probably the more resilient of the three. Since if they do get stabbed or shot or ripped apart they kinda just pull themselves back together. Their weaknesses are rather niche, like you need to destroy a crystal or mask for specifically Dark Latex, or separate one into too many pieces that turns it's goop inert. In combat however they don't have many weapons, barring Transfurmation their only choices are either tied to their goo as an attack, or physical attacks, they do hit pretty hard at least. In terms of intelligence, they can learn but usually they just rely on instinct. They're not stupid but not a lot of them are strategists either.

Warframes have a lot of variables in terms of survivability. Some may be a moldy piece of cardboard while others are making fallout shelters jealous with their durability. They have much more in terms of combat potential, every warframe has it's own arsenal and abilities for fighting. These abilities however aren't just a instant win button, they take up the warframe's energy reserves or whatever they have in place of that. Meaning if a warframe isn't careful they could exhaust their reserves and leave them with fewer options. In terms of intelligence (In this fic anyway) all warframes are pretty smart, they're soldiers with tactical expertise. Though some of them might have gone a little insane.

And Murder Drones are walking war crimes of their own, literally armed to the teeth with any and every weapon in the book. Machine guns, Rocket Launchers, Claws, Nanite Acid, Swords, Chainsaws, Plasma Cutters and probably more! They're fast and can fly, they even repair themselves when they get damaged. But all that tech running at once generates a lot of heat, so they're at risk of overheating if they use too much of it. Solver Technology also really doesn't like being in sunlight, that includes Murder Drones as a whole. Finally there's intelligence. Murder Drones don't do a lot of thinking, the only ones that do are N, V and J with the latter even executing N for "Questioning the Company". All the other ones here are just running a code that tells them to kill anything and anyone they see.

    1. A big dog person

so we have three different factions operating on different vertexes of a triangle. survivability, tactics, and offense

Latexes with extreme survivability but with no long term goals and limited offensive ability except for exceptional individuals. very friendly, not hostile, but that doesnt make them any less of a threat

warframes, with increasible diversity of power and keen tactical ability, but forced to operate without any kind of logistics. meaning their only option is to act as surgically as possible. which functionally mean that they need allies and support in order to have any significant impact

and the drones, who are pure offense, completely oriented to doing as much violence and destruction as possible, but overspecialized to a fault in that specific area. no tactical skills, no planning, they see something and they instantly try to kill it
