Lemongrass as a scent, suits Ignis very well!
I've read all of this, and I adore it thus far. I appreciate how frank they are with their emotions and love towards one another - they're older now, no need to beat around the bush and hide their true intentions. I find Ravus' characterisation here refreshing in that it is true to the fact that he is such a broken man. And Ignis is just the kind of man to pick up the pieces - and pull Ravus apart, all over again. Ignis is charming, caring, witty, and kinky. Just the way I love him. I love how he allows himself to indulge, yet can't help but dote over Ravus whenever he gets the chance.
Thank you so much! I'm still working on it, although with the holidays I haven't had much time to stick to my previous upload schedule.
I find Ignis and Ravus to be such fascinating characters! Everyone in FFXV has their fair (well, more than fair) share of trauma, but the way Ignis and Ravus both channel it into overprotectiveness, albeit in very different ways, really speaks to me.
I love how you described Ignis, that's very much how I see him as well. And the way Ignis can be more open about his feelings despite all the trauma and heartbreak is because despite everything, he still had people around him who cared for him, unlike Ravus who kept everyone at a distance except his sister, until he lost her too. It probably should have broken him completely, but I can't do that level of angst in a story. So he and Ignis get to have a little bit of happiness, because I said so. :D
