I'm not sure who I find good with Starflight. I feel like Clay wouldn't like Starflight either since he finds all of the DoD to be more like siblings than anything else.
I feel like his insecurities could make him feel like he needs constant approval, so he may turn to Darkstalker in search of that fatherly love he couldn't get from Mastermind. (referring to my story)
True but hey there's always AU's where he thinks otherwise and wants more from him. It's still weird he's kinda dating crazy burning demon Peril since he's clearly too dumb, oblivious and innocent for stressful huge and risky things like romance. Pretty sure he'd be awful in bed too ha... For Starflight, Qibli's so adjustable and perfect like an AI boyfriend that he'd make it work, realistically? Maybe Jambu, Deathbringer or Cricket or Blue if they're around. If he sees Darky as a dad it's to replace Mastermind since he'd support, brush away insecurity, constantly motivate and spoil him with stuff while gaslighting into thinking gothwings are on top and he can be whatever he wants. As a lover, he'd be a not confident nor special powers Clearsight and Darky would pity and like him so much he'd feel like he has to fill the hole in his heart and build him up until a respected, successful and top career guy like I expected him to for Fathom. That SHOULD'VE happened since it'd make a complex, realistic even if messy dynamic and relationship that isn't too cliche Disney perfect or forced and toxic (like criminal Moonbli, YUCK...) Plus if Fathom breaks it up after seeing the Trump level psychopathy, it'll remind people you CAN dump people if it ain't working and be like the ONLY couple splitting in WOF. Feels like any couple in it has to be soul contract stuck for life...
I don't think Clay is dumb at all. Oblivious yes, and innocence was sort of shed after being a war prisoner and saving the world. He's been in plenty of more stressful situations than dating, and I think Peril and him deserve each other. I like their dynamic a lot. I would prefer you don't make inappropriate comments on any of my works like that from here on out.
I don't think Starflight and Qibli would be good together, actually. It gives me kind of a teacher/student relationship vibe that gives the the ick.
Darkstalker would totally emotionally manipulate Starflight into seeing him as a dad. He already does the same thing to other characters but tricks them into being his friend instead.
I don't feel like they'd be a good pair though, the 2,000+ age gap is creepy.
Also, I like Moon and Qibli together. They're a very sweet friends-to-lovers kind of situation.
Also, couples break up all the time, like Thorn and Stonemover.
Eh he's typecasted as the stereotype dumb fat guy to me, definitely a simpleton compared to others though he gets wiser each book. Same, and Peril is kinda stuck with Clay as the only choice so I get why he'd give her a chance. Oh, don't like those jokes? My bad, I'll try remembering that then...
I know it's odd yet most students are barely younger than the teachers which is funny, but personality is why I mentioned him and others. Oldest student is probably Onyx at 19, but since it's basically college that's normal I guess. To be fair, Darkstalker is forced to deal with the creepy insane age gap with anyone unless he hacks magic and finds a way to bring back the dead, which Tui thankfully made against the rules... He's mainly why some people hate the OP animus aspect of WOF but I like the mystery, risk and plot twists it brings
Perhaps sweet but not perfect and awesome as Qinter, they seemed made for each other until that heartbreaking choice of Moonbli.. Feel like Qibli would always feel bad for Winter and guilty for dating her instead of asking her to give Winter another chance or he'll take him before she does. Ah right! Forgot about that weird random couple, can't think of anyone else who broke up though
There are probably a lot of couples that break up. In my opinion, if they didn't have children I'd like to think that Foeslayer and Arctic would have broken up. Or they should have.
That's probably the worst toxic baffling couple in the series. In any universe it's SO awkwardly weird and unhealthy when couples must keep contact or fake love for the kids, then there's the tension, fights over custody and crap... Likely how Darky and Clearsight would've ended up though, even worse if they mated.
Though an easy excuse for another arc is they secretly had kids and one of their descendants are animus and read about that morbid history, agreeing with Darky and sympathizing with him then they feel the story is wrong or rigged against him, so they damage their soul trying ways to bring him back. They sneakily get answers from teachers and students of how he was so OP, use the same tactics and become Darkstalker 2.0, living proof that "history repeats itself". That'd make a wicked fic
I sorta wished that Starflight had hatched under the moonlight, and he would be the second Darkstalker. (if he had animus powers, of course) I was so betrayed when I found out they had ROBBED HIM.
True but I think that'd ruin him and complicate the plot and story especially his growth, probably wouldn't even be a teacher whether from his Fathom level fear or distrust and anxiety from others, may just end up another pathetic cursed Stonemover. I THINK there's one story on here about him being magical though.. Never read any
With Darkstalker manipulating him, I think he could be a pretty good villain if he had the right potential. I think I could aim my story to be like that.

Hm well there ya go, got a new idea in store to utilize. As for DMs, uh... too risky and careless in this insane dark world. These days 95% of relationships even if acquaintances are useless, problematic cringe or end up in betrayal or changed people... For your safety, I'd set DMs for mostly or fully fanfic based ideas or discussions, in depth feedback too. If you click with someone or have big fans, you can (f no red flags) consider adding them as a personal contact. Can never be too safe even on this chill site
