      I'm not the author, but I'm guessing 16 since it's basically taking place throughout the Riders and Defenders of Berk episodes where they were 16.

        They are 16, but it's actually because I pushed the events back a year to give Hiccup time to form his flock before defeating Mercilesss and moving on to the RoB and DoB stuff. From what I understand, Hiccup was supposed to be 14 in the movie, 15 during the first show, and then starts the second show at around 18, aging up to 19 (and maybe 20? Can't remember exactly) during the course of the events. Could be wrong, but that's the timeline I'm working with for the story 🤷🏻

      At this point, the kids are all sixteen (Hiccup having turned 16 in Ch 7 of the first book) while Dagur's 19.
