  1. I'm not sure I can work in Stiles's spark effectively. I think the spark and werewolf-ism are mutually exclusive, but I'm still playing around with it. In some ways, you could probably see Stiles's incredibly fast adaptation to being a werewolf and the way he had no trouble with his instincts and alpha spark as being a latent effect of his spark.

You! Out of curiosity, can you "not stand" him as an unpleasant character written well, or am I portraying him poorly? Because Scott definitely has some major character flaws and the events of this chapter cause them to flare up, but I don't want it to come across as mindless bashing.

    1. No! You wrote him well. I just could never stand the unbalanced relationship that I perceived Scott and Stiles to have in the show. Call me biter, but I feel like his rigid morality was a large contributor to hoe many people died. Yeah, they're kids, but when you're thrust into basically a different world than the one you knew, certain rules and morals have to be bent or thrown for the sake of protecting, not only yourself, but the people around you. Also, as someone who's been ditched by "friends", I cannot stand how Scott sniffs one pretty girl and basically leaves Stiles in his "human" past so to speak.

Basically, he is indeed an unpleasant character written really well.

      1. I completely agree about Scott and Stiles's unbalanced relationship. It drove me nuts too. I also completely agree that Scott's "morality" led to a bunch of people getting hurt or dying who wouldn't have if he had the strength and courage to do what needed to be done. Mercy can only be effectively and safely given from a position of overwhelming strength and they almost never had that.
I get it. I've had "friends" abandon me too and Scott's behavior never sat right with me either for that reason.

I'm glad to hear I'm portraying Scott effectively. Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it!
