Comment on This Hazbin A Helluva Good Time

  1. Was rereading this and got curious, how "official" are we with Loona here? I'm assuming it's not as simple as them dating cause of the way things are worded at some points. Of course, they act like they're dating, but it does seem that it's more fuzzy than that, especially with how Loona refers to the relationship. Also kinda curious what the fight with Blitzo was about.

    1. I haven't done a lot of them, but so far as a general rule: The shorter the one-shot, the more vague I like to leave things. Loona's was one of the shortest of the ones I've done so far, so there weren't a ton of details put in, mostly intentionally, to focus on the chapter without spending a ton of time detailing the history.

That said, my headspace for this one and the notes I wrote to ground the story in my head have it as an "unofficially official" sort of arrangement where Loona is past her initial stages of being shy and adorable and has gotten more comfortable showing her real self... but the story is also set at the earlier portions of the series (Season 1) where her "real self" involves a lot of pain and anger, so it's a rather rough but appreciated relationship on both ends, with Loona feeling a little too claustrophobic and angry about not feeling in control of her own life to put any "actual" labels to it while still treating the reader as her partner.

As for the fight, could be anything. I had the original idea (and wrote as if it were set) during the section of Helluva Boss where Loona was pretty much angry at the world, so it may not even be anything significant.
