They won't find out because Agent Stone hasn't found out what the Eclipse Cannon is for at this point. I'll just toss in my two cents: Maria would be horrified, vehemently tell everyone who will listen that she wouldn't want the entire world to die on her behalf, instruct Shadow and Ivo not to blow up the Earth if she ever dies tragically, and then question why she has to tell them that. Shadow would also be horrified, but he would at least kind of understand his alternate self's impulse to avenge Maria's death, although perhaps not on that scale. Ivo would probably crack a lot of jokes that were in very poor taste, but again, he would also be quite horrified - not only at Shadow and Gerald's plan to destroy the Earth, but also that he allowed himself to be manipulated into helping them. He would probably repeatedly insult his alternate self's intelligence, but if he also found out he sacrificed himself to save humanity, Ivo would be quite proud that even his evil alternate self made the right decision in the end.
