    Aoko didn't know where Kaito was, no one knew. He made sure to hide that from everyone, that's why Aoko couldn't help as mush as Jii couldn't help.

    I was planning for Ran and Kaito to have the 'talk' but thought I'd leave that for after Shinichi make his own decision, I didn't want the influence of others in the fic to change what he wanted. And while in this they didn't communicate enough. I was planning to be sure that the ending doesn't mean everything is resolved between both of them, Shinichi is simply giving him the chance to win him back, but Kaito still has a long way to go to do that.

    I do have some ideas for a sequel (if only to show what i had in mind of the struggles Kaito would go through before they actually become all lovey dovey again), but it's all being on hold right now as I'm a little busy with work and life in general (and I'm working on another fic that I've been thinking about writing for a while now), so it's gonna take a while before i do.
