Comment on Kratos of the Blue Lions

  1. *twelve-hundred years ago.*

It means 1200 years, and it's only 20 or so older then the Adrestian empire, you messed up by a few thousands years.

And if Mimir and Kratos know of the nabateans it mean they would know that since the nabateans are only known to the few survivors and the agarthans.

And I'm certain the church's official history even without nabateans still have the goddess being there for thousands of years, not just 1200 and some.

*“What, the Gautiers? Aye, true, but at least I’ve read enough about them to understand how their line of thinking works. Because that Crest System you lot seem to be obsessed with, along with their history is enough to tell me exactly what his da would do in Kratos’ shoes. Very proud, that family is, considering they outcasted the wee lad’s older brother for not having a Crest himself.”*

I assume Miklan trying to kill his brother many times is a secret then.

    1. Holy shit, you're absolutely right. It wouldn't make sense for the Nabateans to arrive right before the birth of the Empire, because they'd need to be around a long while before the war even occurred. I'll go back and fix it once I get the opportunity, and thank you so much for catching this!

      1. You welcome.

And also again, Mimir and Kratos wouldn't know of the Nabateans unless Rhea and Co revealed it to them at this point of the story.

        1. The only thing I will say in defense of the choices I made eith the story is that I wasn't taking it too seriously early on. As for the Gautiers, what I was attempting to get across was that they still value Crests for who gains all the inheritance, which caused Miklan to go rogue, but the events that led up to him getting disowned wasn't publicly known.

          1. Considering how the story is yet another of the standard hostile three houses take on Rhea, eh.

            1. Is it, though? 🤔

              1. From what I've seen of your comments on the whole story and the chapters I've read, yes.

How is your take better then the usual shit by everyone in regard of Rhea? And I'm just talking of the stuff by most of the non CF-stans, because their weirdos make the rest look tame.

And no it's not a rhetorical question.

It's not for nothing "good rhea" need to be a tag to be sure not to have the usual bashing.

Be it the open one or the more insidious.

                1. I have never claimed that my take was better than anyone else's.

When you said it's a "standard hostile three houses take on Rhea," I assumed you meant stories that paint her as an unequivocally evil individual, when the reality is that it's much more complicated than that, and I try to have my character react accordingly to the information they are given. If that's what you're getting from my story so far, then clearly you have not read it far enough. I recognize that Rhea is responsible for a lot of shady things she's done in the past, but that doesn't automatically mean I'm beating a dead horse about whether or not she's evil, it's simply an acknowledgment of her past actions.

But all of that aside, none of that actually matters to me. What matters is whether or not my story is consistent within its own bubble. If you don't like my portrayal of these characters or how I choose to cover particular topics, then that's fine. But if you're going into this expecting specific details to be tightly accurate to the games, then I'm sorry to say that you're in for a series of disappointments.

                  1. Except even the shady things Rhea has done are overblown.

She is not responsible for Fódlan's isolationism, her "human experimentations" as so many idiots like to say, were simply the creation of homonculi who clearly lived a full live since rhea had less then 15 in such a long time, and her putting the heart of Sothis in Byleth was at Sitri's request to save her child.

And even her lying about the origins of the crests was necessary since, due to Rhea having a crest, she could only explain that Nemesis and Co were evil by revealing to humans, the same group that genocided her people, that she wasn't a human and that killing her would give great amount of power.

And considering Edelgard's disgust toward nabateans for having authority while not being humans, and her grave robbing of the holy tomb to get the hearts of Rhea's brethren, there's no reasons to assume that humans not associated with Nemesis wouldn't finish the evil king's job.
