I’m just imagining the normal miraculous story then some rando transfers in and an your AU starts like Hawkmoth learns of this and tries to get the ladybug and cat miraculous and this random kid so he can get the kid to fix the broken miraculous and make something to help his wife and to use the the cat and bug miraculous as a backup.
That would be cool. It reminds me of a story called "Get Me Out of Here" where some random citizen knows the identity of Ladybug and Cat Noir and Hawkmoth is after him, feeling they are hiding something.
