So both Manic and Sonia are on their way to Sonic. In the van aswell. That's going to trigger some memories. They have no idea where Sonic is so as soon as they see him it will be an interesting reunion. Poor Sonic is beating himself up so much for the death of his mother. His necklace is a bad trigger for his memories. That's why he hid it. But he can't keep hiding from it. Definitly not with his siblings on the way. He is just afraid what his friends will think. They won't think any less of him. Just be shocked that's all. Tails would never leave him. None of his other friends would. Sonic is struggeling so much with all of the trauma of his past. He's tried to hide it and ignore it but it's coming back. I do wonder what everyone's reaction will be. Curious to see what Shadow will say. Knowing he lost Maria and hearing Sonic left his siblings, but also lost his mother. Not to mention they will learn he's a prince. Royalty. Eager to see what comes next. This was such a good chapter. Showing Sonics internal conflict.
Shadow's reaction will be fun. He's so analytical that he'll definitely pick up on any weird behaviour...
And yeah, the medallion, the van, his siblings: it's all going to bring back memories he'd rather not think about. But that's not healthy. He needs to face it eventually. Tails would never leave him, they're so close, Sonic even says it himself. But he just thinks Tails will resent him for it, that no one will want to hear or understand his side. It's two against one in his mind, and the moment his siblings say anything he thinks that'll be it for his life. That he'll have to go back to fighting Eggman alone.
