Genuine question: Does Namine have self esteem issues keeping her from accepting even the possibility that Roxas has feelings for her? Like, is this a thing she’s struggling with in your fic?
Honestly, yes. I always felt like she's been struggling. CoM kinda established her fears about being forgotten etc and then she WAS, and she saw how someone's feelings towards her made them miserable (cue Repliku dying and Sora breaking down mentally). And then we se in KH3 how she admits that she feels like no one misses her as Roxas is priority. Yeah, I kinda headcanon that she has self-esteem issues, also not because she doesn't think she's not worth to be loved, but because she thinks she CAN NOT be loved.
