It both astounds me and makes me indescribably angry that Maomao didn't stand up for herself earlier. "The voice of the Emperor is the will of the Heavens", yes? By refusing the Emperor's' orders to heal Lady Lihua, does that not mean that ALL her Ladies-in-waiting are flagged for execution?! All Maomao had to do was say that she was there at the Emperor's behest and they would have been forced to heed her words, not matter their disdain for her!
