        Just like in the game ^^ if you treat him like an untrustworthy evil monster then he will simply be that. But if you say youre actually a little abandoned golden Retriever in your heart so imma coddle you with love, then he will realise he is better and will act accordingly

          The truth is he wasn’t a jerk during Act 1 in my game at all soooo that’s why he’s so soft here to match my experience. I never understood why people called Astarion a major asshole until I realized they’re mean to him back lol

              Tbh he captured my heart because he's so funny. I love taking him to places just to get his commentary. I laugh so hard every time. Lae'zel and Minthara are other characters who crack me up. However, though Lae'zel and Minthara have been mean to my character, Astarion has ever hardly been that bad. So I headcanon he's just soft for Nia from the get go and I'm rolling with it. When I tagged this fic Softstarion I meant it lol.
