I'm sorry you feel that way. I can understand, that Char is not nice to read. In the end, she's a plot device. I promise, I keep her appreance to the minimum in the following chapters. This is a B/V story! It will be worth it, I promise :)
See it at a side of Vegeta, where he can compensate for what Frieza does to him and he himself can exert power over someone else, who is weaker. It's not a nice trait, I know and not worthy of a proud Saiyan Prince. But people are full of contradiction and so is Vegeta. Imaging him treating Bulma that way, it would not work at all!
