Well, I totally know what it's like to have an idea burning in your head, and you have to get it out now! Bringing up boroughs is a good beat because it's something that trips up people who aren't familiar with the city -- something like "I was in the same borough, but people in queens and Brooklyn probably had a better view" then Aldo realizes Tedesco wouldn't be familiar with the term and doubles back to explain it means neighborhood?

And now that you mention it, I'm wondering if it's possible Thomas was in NY during 9/11. In the book, it says Lomeli used to be the Papal Nuncio in NY, and he lived in the East 70s, which is smack in the middle of Upper East Side, lol.
