Ahajdnisnsjajjdjrhsuiwoucb!!! I don’t know where to start so I’m just going to make a list until I get it together lol.
1. I ADORE your take of Alluka and Hibari interacting. They’re just vibing on the same wavelength and are enjoying photography. And that Hibari should meet Killua. Like right now.
2. Hibari and Killua interacting was beautiful. I’ve never seen too people so on the same page while reading different books.
—>Killua thinks Hibari is the neighborhood watch. Killua would also see Hibari do a lot of extreme things and would probably still call it neighborhood watch.
—>Killua would also fight Hibari until they were both half dead and would probably still call it a friendly spar. I mean torture for improvement was pretty normal for Zoldycks. **I could Imagine Killua bleeding a lot with broken bones and just casually getting a bite to eat. Because he won’t actually bleed out for several hours, plenty of time to eat cuz he’s hungry.
3. It’s so fun when Hibari just comes naturally unhinged. Like this guy just woke up and chose violence, he doesn’t need some tragic backstoryTM like an F tier protagonist.
4. Not his mother being soooo happy. And I could see Killua being very nice and polite with her like with Mito.
5. Oh lovely the friendship shall continue at school. There’s going to be so many heart attacks from people that can’t fathom Hibari making a friend. And then getting more heart attacks because that friend is also kinda scary/crazy. Killua seems all nice and normal for about 3 minutes until he says something so out of pocket or he just goes full killing intent for whatever reason.
6. And finally… CARNIVORE AND LITTLE ANIMAL..!! That’s so incredible I can’t-
A lot of stories tend to choose between scary Killua or cute/charming Killua. You have bestowed upon me today the knowledge that the answer is always both. Yes. All of the above.
Silly Killua, of course the Girl Next Door NEEDS to be next door. Alluka can’t have anyone else challenging her on her title. Besides if she wasn’t next door how else is she supposed to coincidentally totally randomly run into Futa All The Time? If she isn’t next door how is she supposed to walk to and from school with Futa every single day? How else does she convince Futas guardian that she’s the sweetest thing ever that should totally marry Futa?? Really Killua think about it.
Boy Futa is about to have a Journey. He doesn’t even know about Nanika yet and if Alluka is going this hard for first time flirting then actual dating, engagement, and marriage are all going to be wild. Especially when you factor in Reborn and how he’d totally ramp up all the crazy for the fun of it. And I doubt Alluka would ever back down from that challenge in her pursuit of love. Poor Tsuna has not yet realized that crazy has moved in next door. And this time it’s not even aimed at him but he’s probably still going to get caught in the crossfire.
And back to the photos- Kyoya wanting to put some in his office is so great on so many levels.
1. There’s the fear from anyone that has the misfortune of having to speak to him in his office seeing all those pictures of Kyoya in the middle of very cinematic violence.
2. There’s the potential funnies of Alluka proudly showing people and telling them she took the very pretty photos. (That would be a moment where a lot of people realized Alluka is not in fact the normal nice sister to Killua’s everything.)
I just want you to know that the feeling I had when reading this comment is probably the same thing you felt when you made that keyboard smash!! I am LIVING for your comments and reactions!! Like for real, it's such a huge motivator. Thank you!!!!!!!
Aaaahhh now I am still so curious to know your thoughts on all the extra stuff I wrote about my plans for the story in my other comment reply to you on chapter 1!
I am so so happy you like my take on Alluka and Hibari's dynamic!! Honestly, most of the Alluka & Hibari and then Hibari & Killua conversation just flowed out so easily like "oh yeah, this is exactly how they'd talk to each other 100% obviously." My whole intention going into it was that Killua and Hibari weirdly have so much in common, but very VERY different takes on how they express that. So if they started on a slight misconception, they could accidentally have the greatest bonding session ever. You said, "I’ve never seen two people so on the same page while reading different books" and that is exactly what I was going for!!!! That and also Alluka and Killua, who are used to people just being like the worst people ever, would see Hibari trying to protect the neighborhood and go "wow, he's genuinely such a nice and kind guy. He even does community service. He might be the most morally upstanding citizen I know." and everyone is confused by this.
Hibari should always just come completely unhinged. That's what's so beautiful about his character. KHR offers no explanation of why he is that way, because obviously he just came that way with violence as his default setting. I thought it would be really funny if his parent's were like aggressively normal and just ran with that.
Oh boy, I cannot wait to write the first day of school chapter!! So much is going to go right, and so much is going to go wrong. It will be beautiful.
I don't understand how people don't realize that the answer for the best and most accurate Killua is always cute AND scary (but also stupidly awkward). He is obviously both, that's like the whole point of his character. The answer is always both and I will stand by that forever. Rationalizing that = carnivore AND small animal in Hibari speak was a stroke of genius that I did pat myself on the back for. Because that's exactly what Killua is.
Of course, Killua is SO wrong about the Girl Next Door thing. Alluka is really gonna milk the "what a coincidence" thing for all its worth. She's really speed running the whole thing, and yes to everything you said. Futa has no idea what he's in for. Poor Tsuna, Reborn is so here for all of this and is going to make it Tsuna's problem.
The photos -- YES!!! Exactly yes to all of this. I just thought it would be so funny if his office was just covered in action shots of him enacting very violent beat downs. Also, Hibari would look at a picture of him beating the shit out of someone and go "Yeah, if that's not art, I don't know what is. I should frame this so others can see."

Making Killua a small animal and a Carnivore plus Kyoya liking and symbiotically existing with small animals, is such a good way to explain why Kyoya wouldn’t mind him hanging around. It also brings in the opportunity for Kyoya to get mad at others for ‘crowding’ and then not getting mad at Killua for doing the exact same thing. And then Kyoya just wouldn’t explain anything as usual and now everyone’s confused.
Futa’s going to one day find out he’s been tag teamed the whole time by Alluka AND Nanika. He is NOT ready for the both of them plotting romance schemes. Or even for Reborn, if he decided to *inspire* Alluka. Futa and Tsuna will prolly both have to realize that Killua cannot be trusted to de-escalate. He didn’t even try to stop Alluka from lying and inserting herself into the life of her crush. Killua is just happy if Alluka is happy.
As for the previous comment
A.) I loved the Bianchi poison food scene! I’m sure Reborn was very pleased that Killua comes with built in poison resistance.
1.) Also not Killua critiquing the taste. Does that make Killua Bianchi’s first ever taste tester?
B.) I was also curious about the Mist thing because Mukuro has to be confused when he looks at that. Cuz he and Chrome are a thing but they aren’t whatever Nanika and Alluka have going on.
C.) The mafia land comment it makes me think that Killua would be trying to find rigged games so he could win the top prizes like it mentioned here. Only that would probably be more extreme since mafia.
D.) With the whole lightening guardian thing it definitely does fit with Killua’s durability and everything. Reborn was working with what he had for guardians(with Lambo probably being the lightening option like cannon) and then a perfectly good closer aged Lightening popped out of nowhere with the skin ants :). Very fortunate for Reborn but not so much for Tsunas wish for peace.
You’re very talented with dialog and showing clear characterization! Everyone’s lines feel very distinct and I always understand who’s talking since it all matches so nicely.
And whaaaaaat noooo I totally didn’t spend 2 hours reading chapter 2 and writing a comment yesterday. (I say like a liar as I keep going back to the text to make sure I’m mentioning the exact right detail like I’m citing a research paper for an essay)
And I totally haven’t re-read this story several times already noooo. (The comments always grow so much because I have too much fun doing it and just end up adding more and more until I realize I need to stop lol.)
