Cap Marvel's early enemies aren't easy to reimagine

Kurt Filpots aka Mr. Banjo…in the comics he was just a spy, a guy with a banjo whom uses said Banjo to transfer messages.

 

Here Mr. Banjo is a full on musical assassin. He can use his banjo to create soundwaves, he can play a tune that allows him to create minions from surrounding materials, and even rain down the elements, every song a different spell.

 

Taking away his trademark Banjo isn’t enough, because even without the banjo he just hums a tune and can attack. As long as he can make music, he can deal damage.

 

He has sold his soul to the demon Paimon, a demon of music, whom gives him his powers and longevity, in exchange for unleashing havoc on Earth. And sabotaging the war efforts so that there be more despair and evil for the demons of Hell to feed on is just fine.

 

He fought Captain Thunder during World War II, and has resurfaced in the present to torment the present-day Marvel family as well.
