Rumi and Jinu haven’t had any interaction in a long time. He’s out of the military now. So… what’s the excuse.

Hi everyone. Longtime lurker, first-time poster, and I come in peace... sort of. I’m here with what I believe is a respectful, non-deranged inquiry:

Did Rumi and Jinu sign a mutual restraining order or something? They haven’t even breathed near each other in years.

Yes, I know Jinu enlisted. I was there. We all cried. We all watched the blurry fan video of Rumi allegedly attending the send-off in sunglasses and a bucket hat like she was entering the Witness Protection Program.

But—and I say this very gently—that was like TWENTY FIVE (I'm not good with numbers, someone confirm) months ago. And Jinu was officially discharged from service ten days ago. In that time:

• Rumi promoted two dramas, hosted an awards show, and allegedly got bangs
• Jinu posted a photo of grilled chicken, one selfie, and a handwritten note that somehow managed to thank everyone except one person whose name rhymes with Sumi
• And most importantly, they have still not interacted. Not a like. Not a comment. Nothing

Before anyone says “they’re just private,” let’s all take a breath and recall:

• The infamous “accidental” couple’s vacation that neither of them ever explained
• The time Rumi posted a photo wearing his hoodie, deleted it, and then Jinu posted a photo in the same hoodie the next day with the caption “it’s mine again :)”

Anyway. I’m not saying they broke up. I’m just saying if they did, it would explain the sudden frostiness, the archived posts, the emotional tension during their last press tour, and the fact that she unfollowed his private account.

In conclusion, I am merely a civilian asking questions. And those questions are:


• What happened?
• Who is sadder?
• Can they still co-star in the sequel to that movie or is it officially off the table?
• And are we allowed to be heartbroken or do we all have to pretend we didn’t spend two years emotionally investing in their potential secret situationship?

TL;DR: Jinu’s back from the mandatory military service, Rumi’s ignoring him, and she unfollowed his private account. Something happened and I’m nosy.
