Chapter Text
"I got a bike for my birthday it was so cool I've been riding it everyday!" Yuno's classmate boasted.
It was his school's annual field trip and today they were going to Paleto to go sightseeing near the Alamo Sea. It wasn't his first time going there so it wasn't that exciting for him. "Really? My dad bought me a car for my birthday!" Another kid gloated.
Yuno looked out the bus window to enjoy the scenery, casually chiming in with the kids. "How about you, Yuno? What did you get for your birthday?" his seatmate asked. "Hm? Oh it's nothing special. Uncle Tony gifted me a laptop. Oh! Uncle Dean and Uncle Leslie gifted me chili!" Yuno replied. "Chili? Like the food? Yum!" the classmate asked, laughing at Yuno's confused face. "No, chili. Look, its chili!" He pointed out the window. His classmate just laughed at him and called him silly which made him frown. But it's true. Uncle Dean and Uncle Leslie did gift him Chili, he thought to himself as he stared at the top of Mount Chiliad.
"Mr. Lang, we're gonna go vacation?" he asked the older, holding his hand as his adoptive father assisted him out of the their car. "No, Yuno. We're here to meet Dean and Leslie and they have something to give you so behave, okay?" The older bent down to fix Yuno's windswept hair, reaching in his pocket to pull out Yuno's favorite candy. He handed it to him which Yuno excitedly took, admiring the wrapper. The two were escorted by their bodyguards to their private helicopter where Dean and Leslie were waiting for them. They were all at Fort Zancudo, where military jets were stationed and safer for a private helicopter ride than in the airport.
Yuno waved excitedly when he saw his other two favorite uncles. "Uncle Dean! Uncle Leslie!" He ran up to them, hugging them by the waist, receiving a pat to the head. "We're going to fly?!" He exlclaimed, eyes shining. "Yeah. Hop in kiddo. We're going to Paleto." Dean said as he handed Yuno headsets to protect his ears. Leslie helped him climb up the aircraft, seating next to him and making sure he was all buckled up. "Mr. Lang! We're gonna fly! I'm so excited!" He giggled.
This wasn't the first time he flew in a helicopter before but it makes him excited everytime. Lang chuckled before pulling out his phone and taking a picture of Yuno in his way too big headset thats half of the size of his face. Yuno, who saw Lang taking a picture, widely smiled at the camera, eyes almost closed from how big he smiled. Lang stared at the picture before making it his phone's wallpaper and sending it to Tony.
"Buckle up boys! We're going to the highest point of Los Santos!" Lang ordered to the bodyguards who were in a seperate helicopter.
"Woah. Mr. Lang, we're so high up here." Yuno said as Dean carried him out of the helicopter, setting him down the helipad. "Yuno, be careful. Don't run off without us or without any bodyguards." Lang warned him. Yuno nodded, distracted by the scenery that overlooked Los Santos.
His ability to focus left his body and something on the back of his brain was itching to explore the area. He ran to where an abandoned cable car station, scouting the area. He can hear footsteps behind him, used to the sound of the guards following him wherever he goes. "Mr. Yuno! Please be careful!" One called out. Yuno stopped exploring when he saw the beautiful scenery. "Wow..." he trailed off.
"You like it Yuno?" Lang asked behind him. Yuno nodded in response, still too distracted.
"Well. Luckily for you kiddo, it's all yours." Dean said as well. Yuno snapped out of his trance, facing the three adults who were smiling at him.
"What do you mean Uncle Dean?" Yuno tilted his head in confusion.
"Happy birthday Yuno. Our gift to you is this mountain itself." Leslie said.
"Huh?! Wait really!?" Yuno asked in surprise. Wow a mountain! So cool!
"It's called Mount Chiliad. It's yours, baby." Lang chimed in. Walking near him, bending down to Yuno's age and putting a hand on his shoulder.
"As long as you're in my family, everything you want, anything you need, and anything you can take is all yours. This city is ours, Yuno. This city is your playground, baby." Lang said to him with conviction. Yuno, who definitely understood what Lang said, only focusing on the word 'playground', nodded in excitement.
"Chili-ad!"
