Summary
This contains spoilers for Endwalker 6.0 MSQ, most specifically the level 86-87 range of MSQ!
Just a simple bit I had to write out as part of processing... everything. That place in particular. Those two especially. At this, Hythlodaeus had to laugh. “Come now, you can see almost as clearly as I do. She is not from around here, and more than a mere concept or familiar. It is almost as if…”
“Yes, go on?”
“Haven’t you noticed anything peculiar about her? The obvious aside.”
Emet-Selch rose at last to join his friend’s side. His gaze cast beyond the window where the Azem-familiar yet explored the gardens of Anagnorisis, most visibly elated and astonished by the sight of a simple, dour-looking and grey bird.
He sighed and threw his hands up in a shrug. “Where would you like me to begin?”

Summary
This entire story contains heavy Endwalker 6.0 / MSQ 86-87 / Zone 5 Spoilers! If you have not yet progressed this far, please do not read. It is worth it to be surprised by the game, trust me!
A multi-chapter follow up on my A Familiar Presence one-shot. This one does include my named OC/Warrior of Light and is definitely more indulgent. The previous work is not a requirement but does provide a bit more content for this one.
Preview Snippet:
“You will do no such thing! Convenient though it may be, transforming in the presence of others is considered vainglorious in the extreme. As uncouth and unseemly as running around robeless. Shameful.”That had Aeliana whipping her head around to stare at him, dumb-founded and wide-eyed. “Since when?!” she blurted out before having the sense to keep her mouth shut.
“Since always.” Emet-Selch narrowed an eye and judged her expression to be that of a child caught in an act of mischief. “Unless you know something that makes you believe otherwise?”
By the Twelve, she would have been better off playing the mute.

Summary
Lost briefly to a variety of thoughts which had chosen to occupy his mind, Elidibus watched as Aliara dug a boot’s toe into another clump of snow. His options weighed as to how he might best lend aid to one with whom he shared a most unusual friendship, but then an idea formed. One that started a glint behind the mask he wore. “Then I shall endeavor to see your spirits lifted instead.”
“Good luck with that,” Aliara snorted. “A few have already tried, and most failed, so unless you know how to brew a cup of hot cocoa…”
“Perhaps not, but I have something better in mind. Come, Warrior.” His hand extended in kindness, Elidibus waited out the hesitation that kept Aliara lingering, shifting her weight from one foot onto the other.
“Oh, very well then.” After another moment spared to consider her options—whether to stay behind and brood in silence or discover just how exactly an Ascian could possibly lift anyone’s spirits—she slipped her fingers onto his upturned palm. “Lead the way, Emissary.”
— A one-shot that takes place mere days after the Bloody Banquet in Ul'dah.

Summary
It was over. She had no fight left in her, no will to rise again. Those who had been closest to her were lost and alone she couldn’t carry the weight of the world any longer. This would be a way out and if lucky, she’d find those she loved in another life. If so blessed, Elidibus would end matters swiftly and she’d be relieved of her pain and duty.
“Finish it…” she rasped, knelt down in defeat.
Tears streaked through the dirt on her cheeks as she peered up at her foe. Her once upon a time friend. She still loved him even if she hadn’t quite liked him of late.
“Elidibus, please. Let me be done, set me free.”
— Bereft of hope and the strength to carry on after losing the Scions, Aliara surrenders herself to Elidibus’s blade.

Summary
Nabriales proves to be as exasperating as ever while Elidibus must once more put duty before his own needs and send the Warrior of Light home.
Victory lay close enough at hand that Aliara could almost taste it. One move remained to seal her fate, but which? If she chose wrong, she’d have to endure the humiliation that would surely follow. Her bubble of pride popped, his ego forever emboldened.
“What will you do now, Warrior of Light?” A glint sparked in Nabriales’s eyes.
Eyes that focused on the woman sat opposite him. As did his foot which teased from her ankle up along her calf. A damnable, lecherous smirk on his face but Aliara swiftly crossed her legs.
“Do you really think that’ll work on me?”
“It worked for Lahabrea.” Nabriales shrugged. “Or something must have.”
She arched a brow but wouldn’t meet his gaze. “Still competitive, huh?”

Summary
Sometimes it rained within the unusual, atmospheric bubble that surrounded Pandæmonium. No true rain—this type came from a rebalancing of the aetheric flow that sustained the structure and its many wards, or so Themis had once explained. Still, it appeared real enough to leave one who bore witness chilled to the bone…
